The CollabOS 1.5 release brings with it RightSight 2 and Speaker View (more information here). CollabOS 1.5 and Speaker View is compatible with Google Meet room kits but cannot be configured via Google Admin panel nor the in-room Tap touchscreen yet. If RightSight 2 functionality is desired, it is recommended this procedure be completed during initial setup of the room kit.
This article covers the process of upgrading the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini to CollabOS 1.5, enabling and configuring Speaker View, and utilizing Speaker View within Google Meet.
What you need to get started:
- Google Meet room kit with Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini, including:
- Logitech Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini
- Logitech Tap
- Google Meet Compute device
- (for method #1) Logitech Sync Portal account
- (for method #2) PC or Mac device with Logitech Sync installed
1. Using Logitech device settings and Sync Portal
- Initialize the Google Meet room kit using the standard setup procedure (see the Room Solutions Configuration Guide for more information).
- Connect an external display to the “HDMI-OUT 1” port on the Rally Bar/Rally Bar Mini.
- The device should begin BYOD setup and the output will be present on the external display. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the Rally Bar/Rally Bar Mini in BYOD mode.

- Later on, the RightSight 2 settings can be configured by re-attaching an external display to the Rally Bar/Rally Bar Mini and walking through Logitech device settings. Alternatively, this can be set using Sync Portal if the Rally Bar/Rally Bar Mini retains its network connection. See this article, section 2 for more information.

- Select the three dot icon and choose “Check for Device Update”.
- Perform the device update on the Rally Bar/Rally Bar Mini.
- After the update has completed, select the “Video” option under the device’s name.
