CollabOS 802.1X Wireless Network Support

Features supported

• WPA enterprise networks
  • EAP Protocol: PEAP
    • Phase 2: MSCHAPv2 or GTC
  • EAP Protocol: TLS
    • 802.1X compatible certificate

Prerequisite

• Be sure the Sync app is installed on the PC that will be connected to Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini
• Physically connect the USB cable between the PC and Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini

Steps

The steps listed below can be performed either as part of the device onboarding process or from the Logitech Settings application

1. Connect the USB cable between the PC and Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini
2. Select Wireless Connection as the network connection option
   • Wireless Connection will not work If the device already has an active wired connection
   • Disconnect the wired connection before attempting to connect to the wireless network
3. Select the wireless access point that is using WPA-Enterprise connection
   • PEAP and EAP-TLS protocols are supported from CollabOS 1.3.495 onward
4. For PEAP-based wireless networks:
   1. Select PEAP for the EAP method
   2. For ‘Phase 2’ select either MSCHAPv2 or GTC
   3. Provide the identity and password for the wireless network
   4. Click Submit to confirm connection to the EAP-PEAP wireless network
5. For TLS-based wireless networks:
   1. Select TLS for the EAP Method
   2. Provide the identity and password for the wireless network
   3. Select Upload via Sync App under 802.1x Certificate
   4. Follow the instructions on the screen to transfer the certificate onto the device from the Sync App on the PC
      • Make sure the Sync app is installed on the connected laptop
   5. On your PC 
      1. Open the Sync app and select the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini device
      2. Select Configure Certificate under “3 dots” options 
      3. Choose the p12/pfx client certificate and click TRANSFER
      4. Enter password if necessary 
      5. Once uploaded disconnect your laptop as prompted on the screen
   6. Click Submit to confirm connection to the EAP-TLS wireless network
6. The device is now configured to connect to the WPA-Enterprise network
