When can I use the AV pass through adapter?

The AV pass through adapter should only be used when there is a need to join a meeting outside of the Microsoft Skype Room System. So when there is a need to join a Cisco WebEx, Zoom, BlueJeans, or most any meeting or webinar service on a laptop, connect SmartDock Flex via the HDMI pass through adapter and USB. Now, the laptop can access the room’s camera, speakerphone, and display for that meeting or webinar.
 
The AV pass through adapter button should only be pressed when the Skype Room System is not in a use (ie: not currently in a meeting or call). Do not press the button when SRS is in use.
 
Please be aware that the Skype Room System is non functional while the AV pass through is active and the external laptop is using the camera, speakerphone, and display that is connected to SmartDock.
